NO MORE DRUG STORES!!

HEY LOVERS!!
OK! So I'm officially done & I mean FINISHED with the drug store cosmetics hauls. I went into Sephora's today & I wanted to spend, I mean I really did. I've been spending a lot of time with my family & since we have a CVS, Walgreens, & Rite Aid within 5 minutes from the house, these are the places I've been going to. Everything in Sephora's just looked unnecessary!! And I  absolutely love this store. But what I am showing off tonight has been sitting in my camera for a few days...I'm doing some cleaning loves ((so I might have a few posts tonight)).
OK so I went to Dollar Tree, I usually get my q-tips, cotton balls, etc. from here, & it's right next to Harmon's ((where I go to rack up on toiletries)). In there, my little sister who is not allowed to shave, found these!!

In the As Seen On TV ads they're called "Smooth Away".

Unfortunately, the excitement didn't last too long...this was probably the worst purchase of the year LOL. It sucked big time!! But while in there I found something that is definitely beneficial to me in the summer time.

These are the knock offs of the As Seen on TV's "Strap Perfect". And I must say this has been the best dollar I have spent all year.

My CVS  has been having random cosmetics for 50% & 75% off which I think is a great deal, especially when they have the BOGO specials ((either the second item is half off or free)).

So the first items I got were these super rich, highly pigmented lip colors--I believe I ended up paying like $2.00 for each one ((don't quote me)). They are both from the L'OREAL H.I.P. line.

But the first one was in the color ARRESTING which has been a great compliment to the new Revlon lipstick I got which is pictured below...

It's called BERRY HAUTE...even though it looks pink here.
Here I am wearing the two, now remind you this was my first time wearing purple & I am really expending my horizons as far as color goes & I'm enjoying it.

Anyways, the second color I purchased was PRECARIOUS, I haven't used it yet ((but it's like a mix between a peach & a strawberry)).

I also bought this lip gloss, but I don't even remember how much I paid for it or what the name of the color is, I gave it away because it was too sticky for my liking--but it was a great buy, so that doesn't bother you then you should run out & grab some.

Everyone who knows me, knows my favorite color is blue! So I got this eyeliner from the same line of H.I.P. products in a navy blue ((also 75% off)).

I also went to Target to grab some ELF products, the selection was limited but I did get this lip moisturizer which I hate because it leaves a white residue on my lips. I also got a pair of eyelashes which I am honestly done with--I don't need them at all. These 2 were a waste of money LOL

I did get another eyeshadow brush, which is a necessity, I could never have too many of those!!

And out of curiosity I bought this "Waterproof Eyeliner Pen" which is like a marker in ESPRESSO--I have been using it to fill in my eyebrows & for that it works perfectly.

Again from L'OREAL, I bought this amazing product. It's a liquid pencil eyeliner...not sure if it makes sense to you. But it's really amongst the same lines as MAC's "Eye Kohl" in SMOLDER.

The products were buy one get one half off so I bought this natural eyes quad kit from L'OREAL for DARK EYES. I figured it would come in handy for those rushed mornings & I tried it out & surprisingly I was satisfied with it.

OMG!! I really didn't realize how much crap I had sitting in my camera--this is why I am done with these pharmacies. The prices are too good & thus you end up picking up a bunch of stuff. But, I only have a few more. So the lipsticks were buy one get one free!! Couldn't pass that up right?! LOL These are both from Rimmel London...
The first one I have to show off is in CRUSH

And the second one is in AIRY FAIRY.

Well, as for make-up that's all my beauties!! I am in dire need of clothes now--maybe not dire but I'm on to the next best thing. Shoes & clothes!!
Stay safe my LOVELIES!!

LEMONS INTO PINK LEMONADE

Hey lovers!!!
Well as you all know I have a 2-year-old ((yes the terrible TWO's)). Now this has been the third time that she has done this to me, but she ruined another perfectly good tube of lipstick.

Thank God it's only been Revlon.

Now I'm not a make-up artist so I don't really have palettes; at least no blush or lipstick ones.  I actually like the tubes & for my simple little make-up routine, the less brushes I have to use the happier I am.  The old me would've probably thrown it out because I am a neat freak. Yet, the new me is a little more frugal.

This is one of my favorite colors, in fact it's my favorite pink from Revlon "Pink in the Afternoon".

So instead of throwing it out, I remembered that I have a bunch of the little MAC containers, these...

So I am still a clean freak & just the presentation of the tube grossed me out a bit.  So I decided to transfer the product from the tube to the container.  Here were my "tools":
- a knife
- i honestly don't know what this thing is ((LOL))
- & the obvious the lipstick & the container

First, I used the knife & started breaking up the lipstick ((well my little sister did it--she's so helpful)).

And of course, put it in the container...

Now when you're done with that there is always still a bunch of product left so I used the metal stick to scoop out the rest ((which was perfect because it was pointy & flat)). Use anything that is narrow & sturdy enough to get in there & get the rest out.

Once, you're done it will look like this...((I apologize for the bad focusing))

This is what it will look like when you transfer the product, but it's still gloppy!

So, I microwave it just so it's appearance is more presentable.

And before I throw out the Revlon tube I remove the sticker and transfer that as well.

And that's all that I have for now!!
Later lovers!!

save me, i'm a spend-a-holic....

HEY LOVERS!!
i've been spending time with my parentals so we've ((my family)) has been bunking here for about 3 weeks.  It gets pretty boring so guess what I went on another cosmetic run.  i had all intentions of hitting Sephora for a few items but i never made it--which i'm still pretty pissed about--but whatev!!
here we go...i never tried products from E.L.F. but their stuff was a DOLLAR in Target ((the studio items were $3)) & you cannot beat that so before i went in i grabbed a few things just to test drive.

so i bought their "Total Face Brush" because i'm not a make-up artist ((that's Bev's job)) so i really don't invest in the expensive brushes...i don't even know what most of them are for LOL.   plus i like to have enough brushes in rotation, especially the face ones because they get dirty quickly & i have sensitive skin ((I don't have time to wash them after each use)).

the next thing i got from them was the "Plumping Lip Glaze" in the color babydoll.   i have full lips but I like the plumpers because it gets rid of the lines that are obvious with some of my lipsticks.  its a nice pink & it's dual--with a clear gloss on the opposite end

i also got the "Luminous Liquid Lipstick" in baby lips which is a kind of nude color & it goes perfect with my new favorite lipstick which was the Maybelline form the last haul.  now i'm dark skinned so finding a nude lipstick was a challenge for me...which is the ONLY problem with drug store cosmetics ((a lot of trial & error)).  but i finally found a duo that i will stick with indefinitely!!

Here I am wearing it...excuse my uncurled hair & frizzy ends LOL.

OK so I decided to test out an eye shadow--the selection wasn't that large but with my skin color I can never go wrong with earth tones so I chose COFFEE BEAN.

now i have been blessed with long eyelashes but they seem to be less noticeable due to my heavy bangs...so when i saw they had lashes for $1 i was extremely excited.  i got natural eyelashes & i also bought the hollywood  kit

i bought this because it had the little cases for storage but  wore the natural tonight & maybe i did it wrong but there is no way in hell i'm wearing them again, so from now on i'll be sticking to the $1 pairs ((until i get rid of these bangs))

so JEMMA KIDD is a really famous make-up artist & there is a Jemma Kidd Academy in London.  the ex-model now has her own line of cosmetics which can found in Target.  i fell in love with her lipstick in the color "`a la mode".

i also hit RIMMEL LONDON "London Glam" eye shadows & purchased spicy bronze...

& the other in glam ice

because i was so pleased with the MILANI nail polish i got a few days ago i decided to try out the eye shadows.  the colors always look so rich & vibrant & i'm still hoping that my expectations are met.  i bought this palette called "Runway Eyes Fashion Shadows" in designer browns

when it comes to lipsticks, i rarely go for bright & bold. i have my MAC vegas volt & that's it!! but i felt daring & grabbed up a REVLON  in love that pink

here i am sampling it ((web cam quality))...now let's see if i ever work up the courage to wear it outdoors LOL

finally i bought some nail polishes--my absolute favorite ((even though it chips like hell)) SALLY HANSEN's "Fast Dry Nail Color" ((& it does dry quickly which is a major plus for me because i have a 2 year old who likes to get her toes polished as well)) in presto pink

& another in spring green

and finally, i got the SALLY HASEN "Complete Salon Manicure" in mudslide & i <3 it

when i make it to Sephora & rack up on my summer colors from MAC  i will do another cosmetic haul.  these products are all under $10 so it's easy to rack up & i feel as though there is so much for just one entry.  i mean if that's what most people like then i will continue on with it...but enough rambling.
til next time lovers!!

drug store hauling...

hey lovers!!
g'morning all of you beautiful people...depending on how you look at it i guess.  it's 5:27 am so if you're like me & have yet to close your eyes it's still the 13th LOL.  now Bev hates the YouTube haul videos but i love them...i think they're pretty cute depending on who does them.  i don't wanna get my Bevvy Boop going LOL.  sooo...instead i have pictures & titles ((no swatches sorry)).
now this is a drug store cosmetics haul...i'm an equal-opportunist!  i do NOT discriminate & i definitely don't hate on those prices!!
my home girl is really just getting into make-up & i absolutely did not & would not send her into the MAC store or in any department store to purchase their cosmetics-- no NARS!! no Dior!! no Lancome!!  whatever...i do not suggest spending those big bucks when you're just starting out.  but i couldn't just sit there & watch..i of course had to treat myself as well!!

so I heard a lot about Walmart's HARD CANDY line but I've never seen it in my local store but i peeped some products at the store in my hometown...simple items.
this is 1 of the 2 "Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy Lip Pencil" in cupcake...

and here is the 2nd in precious which I love because it compliments my MAC vegas volt  lipstick.

The next HARD CANDY item I got was the "Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss" in IT'S A GIRL which i have already used ((I really do like this product especially when it comes to certain types of lipsticks)).

i also picked up the REVLON "Photoready Foundation" only because i've heard so many good things about this product ((but i haven't used it yet)) & i got mine cappuccino.  then my eyes gravitated to the REVLON  "Colorstay Mineral Mousse" ((which i also haven't used yet)).

i have been searching for a good & inexpensive face primer because it's getting hot out now & MAC's oil control & prep+prime aren't products that i wanna run through.  so i'm trying this & i have no review on this yet either.

i also got a MAYBELLINE lipstick in totally toffee.  and this is my 1st MAYBELLINE anything for drugstore lipsticks i've always went straight to REVLON but i really do like this & will be getting more!

next is the COVERGIRL "smoky shadow blast" & i got the black & white one--this product was really purchased out of curiosity.  could i do a quick smoky eye with this?  not sure yet...but here it is & i'm pretty sure you've all seen the commercials for this.

On YouTube i watched a young lady that goes by the name of MakeupbyMel  but she was wearing this nail polish that i immediately fell in love with & here it is...by RIMMEL LONDON, it's their "Lasting Finishing Pro" & this it is in steel grey.  while there i saw desert rose & had to have it

for the 1st time i got MILANI nail polish...i'm on my pinks & have been on them for a minute, but when i saw this i knew i had to add it to my collection--ain't it pretty?!  this color is called tropical fiesta

i have also never bought Forever21 nail polish but I bought like 2 palettes & a brush from them a few months back & was satisfied so i gave it a shot.  i really this set is a good look for the summer.  the colors do not have any catchy names; but in the box is a purple, pink, orange, and turquoise ((& please lets not argue about what this color is--aqua, cyan, bluegreen--WHATEVER!)).

Oh & I forgot I also got one of the L'OREAL "H.I.P. Shocking Shadow Pigments" in the color VISIONARY & I love earth tone colors so I can't wait to use this

and this is absolutely all for now!!  i do plan on hitting up Sephora today for 2 items & i have to find a dress for a family member's wedding, so I can almost guarantee a continuance of this haul.  til then--smooches!!
